Best Fall Music Festivals 2019

Summer may be coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean the outdoor fun is over. Across the country, fall music festivals are getting ready to kick off, giving music lovers the perfect opportunity to get outside, enjoy the cooler weather and maybe discover a new favorite band or two. Here are a few 2019 fall festivals that are taking place across the country.

2019 Austin City Limits Music Festival

October 4-6 and October 11-13

Austin, Texas, is widely recognized for its music scene and has even been named the Live Music Capital of the World because it has more live music venues per capita than any other city in the world. In the fall, the city holds the largest music festival of the season. The annual Austin City Limits Music Festival is known for showcasing artists from every genre, from rock and hip-hop to folk and electronic, including headlining classics and emerging talent. In addition to music performances, the festival also features an art market, an area for kids, food and beverage vendors and other activities for attendees. This massive festival runs for two consecutive weekends, with various stages spread across the park. This year, it is the destination for headliners like Cardi B, Childish Gambino, The Cure, Billie Eilish, Mumford & Sons and Guns N’ Roses.

2019 Exit 111 Festival

October 11-13

If you can’t make it down to Austin on the weekend of the 11-13, then maybe you can spend the weekend at the Exit 111 Festival in Manchester, Tennessee. This three-day festival features a rock lineup along with activities like freestyle motocross demos, a car show and the Paranormal Cirque presented by Cirque Italia. This year, the lineup includes Lynyrd Skynyrd, Def Leppard, Of Mice & Men and Seether.

2019 Metarama Gaming + Music Festival

October 19-20

If you love gaming as much as you love music, then you won’t want to miss the MetaramaGaming + Music Festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. This festival is the first of its kind and combines gaming, live music, esports, comedy and cosplay for a unique experience. Featured game titles at the festival include Fortnite, Overwatch and League of Legends, and there will be a free-play zone, drone racing, esports car racing, VR gaming and cosplay activities. While all of this is going on, major names in music like Snoop Dogg and Marshmello will be playing at one of the two stages.

2019 Voodoo Music + Arts Experience

October 25-27

There may not be a better place to spend the weekend before Halloween than New Orleans, especially if you happen to love music. Every year, NOLA hosts a large-scale music festival called the Voodoo Music + Arts Experience to celebrate the region’s culture, spirituality and art that defines it. To top it off, attendees are encouraged to arrive in costume, bringing even more energy and fun to this spooky festival. This year, headliners include Guns N’ RosesPost Malone and Beck.
