Soundwave Art
Soundwave Art was lucky enough to play a small part in an exhibit at Art Basel in 2021. The exhibit was called Shooting Blanks: The Art of Half-Cocked which was a film released in 1994. The show featured work by the filmmakers Suki Hawley & Michael Galinsky, as well as past and current work from the cast, crew and artists connected to the scene documented in the film.
We were asked to help enhance the show by adding augmented reality to the artwork and photography on display at the exhibit. By using our Soundwave Art app the images became scannable, when scanned you heard the artist describing the work they created and in some cases behind the scenes stories that took place during the filming of the movie.
Art Basel is a great event for art lovers and collectors. It is a great opportunity to see new artists and to buy art. The event is well organized and the exhibits are well displayed. If you are interested in art, this is a great event to attend. Maybe we’ll see you there!
